"Just wanted to thank you again for the work you did at our house. I especially appreciated your quick response time. We would not have been able to complete our renovations or move in with any efficiency if you had not gone out of your way to accommodate us with all of our last minute panic calls. We also appreciated all the knowledgeable tips you were able to give us." ~ Rena & Gary

"In the early spring of 2007, my wife and I decided to undertake a small renovation to our home, which consisted of removing two walls of a small bedroom , thereby opening up the area to the kitchen and providing a family room space.
The renovations were to be done by a local contractor whose reputation at that time gave me no reason for concern. Despite asking him quite clearly if he was competent and confident to do all the various aspects of the work involved, (demolition, drywall, electrical, carpentry, etc.) he assured me that indeed he was.
The work involved removal of two walls, relocation of electrical wiring contained within those walls, repair of ceiling where walls had been removed and the installation of a hardwood floor throughout. In addition new windows and doors were installed. Consequently extensive drywall repair was also required.
Upon completion of the work, it was discovered that the baseboard heater in the kitchen area was not working, and coincidentally neither was one of the basement bedroom heaters working either. The thermostat to regulate the kitchen heater was not installed and an empty electrical box was left on the wall.
Despite numerous calls to the contractor to finish the work he had started, (in addition to the electrical work, there were numerous other small incomplete or non-functioning jobs which needed to be seen to) he cut off all communication with us and we were left high and dry.
In hindsight, we would have been much further ahead if we had insisted to the contractor that a professional qualified electrician be hired to do those parts of the job which required specialized skills.
We contacted ER Electric to help us solve our problem and from the outset felt confident that our needs would be met. It became obvious from the start that some negligence had occurred as wires from the thermostat and power wires to serve the baseboard heater in the kitchen had been buried beneath the hardwood floor. In addition, the heater in the basement was on the same circuit as the one in the kitchen and this explained why it didn’t work.
The work required to restore power to both heaters required extensive investigation using an Amprobe wire tracer, followed by ingenious planning to reconnect these two heaters. Once a wiring route had been determined, lines were fished through walls and ceilings to provide the electrical service necessary. This proved to be quite challenging as all walls and ceilings were finished and needed to be opened up and subsequently repaired so that the work was not visible.
The time required to do this work was extensive, and the cost for two electricians soon mounted up. We are completely satisfied with the work done by ER Electric and were impressed by the speed and attention to detail shown by all the employees. In addition, they left our home spotless and were willing, ready and able to answer questions at any time. I can highly recommend them to anyone requiring even the most complicated or difficult electrical work to be done." ~ Jan and Dave C.
